As a young single woman working in corporate America, my life is hectic to say the least. I work 10 hour days and then I have extracurricular activities. By the time I get home, I just want to crash and get in the bed! As you can imagine, preparing healthy meals for myself is not always a priority. It is usually easier to just grab food from a restaurant or snack throughout the day and hope for the best. This is all very problematic. Not only is consistently eating out a major hit to one’s budget, it can be terrible for one’s body overtime.
It is funny how everything works together. Food is our fuel. It can either give us energy or it can drain us. That is why we have to actively monitor what we our feeding our physical bodies.
I am not saying that we should never eat out and enjoy ourselves. I am simply proposing that we renew our minds on the way we look at food. Ultimately, everything is about stewardship. We have all been given one body to manage while we are here on earth and I just think we should honor God with our bodies.
Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.
1 Corinthians 6: 19-20 NLT
What is one way we can honor God with our bodies?
Let’s keep it simple and watch what we eat. When you grocery shop and make your own meals, you know what you are feeding yourself (for the most part). In other words, you have a bit more control. So, let’s use that to our advantage!
For those who hate grocery shopping and cooking, I made a free resource to encourage you. The grocery guide will get you in and out of the grocery store in no time and believe me your budget will thank me!
Tell me your favorite grocery shopping hack below. Let’s help one another stay healthy!

Another awesome post sis!! My favorite grocery shopping hack is buying pre-seasoned salmon or chicken in the meat section of my local grocery store. (In Kroger, they’ll even let you pick out the meat and tell them how you want it seasoned before they put it in an oven bag for you.) Then I can put it in the oven, add some frozen veggies, and voila…instant homecooked meal!
Yes! I love that one Anna! I will have to give that tip a shot!
This is great! Thanks for the guide!
I am so glad it helped Kim!
