I Have Good News!

In the social media world, we always share good news. Getting married? Let’s do a photoshoot and share the news. Graduating? Let’s do a photoshoot and share the news. Traveling? Let’s do a photoshoot and share the news.

It’s great because we are accustomed to sharing good news with others. It’s almost like we are trained to share the good aspects of our lives.

The Gospel

Now, let’s look at this closer. The Gospel is referred to as good news. If it truly is good, why don’t we share it? Let’s do a photoshoot and share that news.

Maybe we don’t share because we really don’t believe it’s Good News.

How is the Gospel good?

1. The Gospel is good because God is GOOD.

“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.

Luke 18:19 NIV

2. The Gospel is good because it releases people from captivity.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,

Luke 4:18 NLT

3. The Gospel is good because through Jesus’s sacrifice we gain eternal life.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

John 3:16-17 NIV

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.

1 John 4:9 NLT

4. The Gospel is good because through it we gain victory over the enemy and are free to live the ABUNDANT life.

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it OVERFLOWS].

John 10:10 AMP

What if I share and “they” do not respond well?

Much like social media, there are times that we share the best news and the people we want to respond most, simply do not. But that doesn’t keep us from posting. Their failure to “like” our news does not stop us from posting that bomb photo. While we want them to partake in our joy, we realize that their response does not change the nature of the news we are sharing.

Friends, we have to keep that same energy when sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Look at Jesus. Wonderful and perfect Jesus! He went into the towns and some received Him and others did not. But He kept going! And those who received Him, received eternal life.

You and I have that same ability today! We go through all the world and share the good news that changed us and extend that same gift to others. Effectively snatching people from the grasp of the enemy!

I think that makes sharing worth it!

So, don’t worry about their response.

Run and tell them what you’ve found! It is such GOOD NEWS!

Do you know Jesus?

Thousands of years ago Christ died for YOU. Though He is God, He left heaven just to find YOU. He wants to spend the rest of this life on earth and the life to come with you. Simply, because He loves you.

If you do not know Jesus today, I would like to offer Him to you.

It’s simple.

If you openly say, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from death, you will be saved

YES, we believe in Jesus deep in our hearts, and so we are made right with God. And we openly say that we believe in him, and so we are saved.

Romans 10:9-10 ERV

Welcome to the FAMILY of faith! All of heaven is rejoicing! If you received Jesus today, let me know. I’d love to connect with you!

Big hugs,

Ayanna
