Hi friends,
Longtime no see! I hope that you all are having a blessed and prosperous 2021 thus far. If you’re still here rocking with me, I sincerely appreciate it. Today, I want to talk about something that has been near and dear to my heart lately…the importance of enduring through trials.
The Opportunity in Found in Trials
If we’re honest, all human beings encounter trials and difficulty, but our response to the trials is what will inevitably set us apart.
Did you know that anytime we encounter trials they are an opportunity? Yes, trials are a good thing!
And if we are serious about wanting to be like Christ, we need real tried and true endurance (absent shortcuts and easy ways out lol 😅).

The Gift of Endurance
Here’s what I’ve learned about endurance, every time we are called to endure something whether it’s our jobs or school or a tough season in marriage or waiting on the promise of God to be fulfilled
and we don’t resist it, we GROW.

How Cultivating Endurance Helps Us
Think of endurance as a gap-filler. Each time we endure and don’t resist the difficulty of whatever it is, but instead embrace it
1. We learn AND
2. We fill in gaps where we lacked knowledge or clarity before.
The plus of all of this is that when we need wisdom to help us over the humps, we can ask God. He’s like a tutor who’s objective is to see us win and overcome!
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.
For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.
So LET IT GROW, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

Prayer for You
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You now praying for the individual who reads this post. I pray Father that You would give them the strength to endure the trials they face today and in the future. Father, I pray that as they go through the process that they do not resist Your leading, but instead submit to it. Father, in the name of Jesus, please shift our focus from the things of this world and set our gaze on the beauty of who You are instead. You promised that in this world we would have trouble, but You also reassured us that You have overcome the world. So we thank You for that and we choose to set our gaze on the One who’s overcome. Lastly Father, I thank You for teaching us the importance of enduring through our trials, because by Your power we will grow and be victorious.
In Jesus’s name I pray, Amen.
Sending hugs to you.
Your friend,
Ayanna
